Are You Sharing Lollipops?

Take a moment to pause and reflect: Who has impacted your life by simply saying or doing something?
How have you impacted others in this way? This session will introduce the idea that we may not realize
the power of our own words and actions in everyday moments, how they positively shape another
person's life. Discussion will focus on the idea of moments that are eye-opening and transformative,
and participants will identify how to create, acknowledge, and pay forward these "lollipops" that
encourage the heart.

Self-Care Is Not Selfish

Being mindful about self-care means that you are focused on and committed to being the best version
of yourself. For some, this seems selfish and can lead to self-care not being a priority, pushed to the
bottom (or off!) of our daily to do list. We all know self-care is essential. During this session, the focus
will be on building awareness of self-care needs, creating a self-care plan, and exploring ways to be
mindful about self-care practices.

Following the Leader

Who should lead the learning in an early childhood program? If children can be trusted to lead their
own learning, what does this look like? How do educators learn to “let go” and accept not being the
smartest person in the room? This discussion will explore the benefits of developing creative,
independent thinkers in an environment where the children are the leaders in their learning.
