Research has shown there are more children who have difficulties communicating. With communication struggles,
behaviors that are simple to problem solve may become dynamic. Music offers avenues to intentionally teach
strategies, content, and skills young children could master in these early years. Participants will learn signs to
teach children for feelings, getting along, eating, drinking, fruits, veggies, family, outside, pets, animals, colors, letters and numbers.
This training is most likely to address:
? Promotes and communicates information about promising practices, issues, research and theory relevant to
child growth and development.
? Communicates the link between language and literacy an children’s development and learning outcomes
? Assists and encourages children to use language rather than expressive actions
