| Description | | This training focuses on evidence-based, action-oriented strategies for school teams aiming to reduce absenteeism through enhancing student connectedness and strengthening students’ sense of belonging. The session aligns with the aims of Nebraska Project AWARE and Nebraska School Mental Health Project, with a focus on promotion strategies and resources that are evidence-based to reduce absenteeism and improve student connection, while working closely with families and communities.
Objectives:
Describe innovative prevention and promotion strategies and resources that support student engagement and mental well-being that can support all students and families.
Identify evidence-based, action-oriented strategies to reduce student absenteeism by enhancing student connectedness and fostering a stronger sense of belonging that align with their current policies and strategies.
Create data-points within the participant’s current teaming system that can be used to determine type of strategy or program (e.g., Tier 1 and/or Tier 2 and/or Tier 3) that would best align with the needs of the team and family.
